In order to keep your air conditioner working properly, there are a couple of things that you will need to do to maintain it. The following is a list of tips on how to keep your air conditioner running smoothly:

• Make sure to keep your air filters clean. You can clean your filter by using white vinegar or a combination of dish soap and warm water. This should be done at least once a month, and more often if you have allergies or pets.
• Do you leave your air conditioner out during the winter months? Before turning it back on again, you will want to check for any insects that may have made a home for themselves in your unit. You can avoid this in the future by storing your unit in your home during the winter months.
• Make sure to clean your condenser coils when you first pull your AC out of storage. A great deal of dirt and dust can build up over time, which will make your AC work harder (this can make your energy bill higher than it has to be). You can clean the condenser coils by using a can of compressed air or with a soft-bristled brush.
